Sherlock: "Shut up." Lestrade: "I didn't say anything." Sherlock: "You were thinking. It's annoying."
Can I tell you a little secret? I'm deathly afraid of colors. But I am doing my best to compensate... As far as what I chose for this portrait, I have no idea how these colors came to be. It started out as red and blue and morphed into majenta, orange, yellow... and pretty much any other color you can think of.
...ANYWAY. Sherlock. Yup. Lovelovelove. Benedict Cumberbatch is one of the most brilliant actors to portray one of my favorite book/tv characters of all time, and I can't imagine anyone performing the role half as well as him. I recently just became a fan of the show (Why must it be a mini series that airs once a year?! Silly Brits...) after about a year of reading reviews and procrastinating. I wish I watched it sooner. It's fabulous, and SO addicting! I was afraid that they were going to do something awful and change the character because it would be the "popular" thing to do in a modern world, but I was amazed at the fact that they kept him as Sherlock-like as I've ever seen anyone. In fact, that'd be exactly how I pictured him in the book! I am a hopelessly Sherlocked.
Hats off to you both, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and mister Benedict Cumberbatch. <3

Really defined details; superb painting overall. The quote you inserted is my signature! Ha! I'm Sherlock's biggest fan, and this really brings credit to his role. I hate it when people think that him and John are gay! It's horrid!
Thank you so much, and I totally agree! Their genuine friendship is one really great tributes to the show... I think anything else would damage the dynamics between them.
